Welcome to the The Pledge section of Jack's Pledge. On the Registration page we are asking Hockey Leaders, such as Presidents, Vice President and Hockey Directors of Youth Associations and coaches of high school and other non-Youth teams to officially register so that their players and coaches can take the Pledge. Once the hockey leader has registered, we'll send out the quantity of Jack's Pledge helmet stickers and the pledges can be printed by level coordinators or team managers from the site and signed by players and coaches. We encourage teams to maintain signed pledges in their USA Hockey Team Book or another location so that coaches can access them as future coaching tools.
Please send us photos for posting at this site of your signing events or how your teams/players/coaches/associations are showing your support of Jack's Pledge -- to play hockey Jack's Way: by the rules, safe, smart and skillfully.
Our goal in administering Jack's Pledge is 100 percent adoption across our state and beyond by the end of the 2011-2012 hockey season. The Association registration approach for Youth hockey players/teams/coaches is critical because we are able to sign-on larger groups in one registration process to most effectively administer the Pledge and meet our goals. Individual youth players can certainly take the pledge solo by registering as a player and printing and signing the Pledge itself, but no helmet stickers will be sent for individual players.
We are building a community of like-minded hockey leaders, players, coaches, parents, fans and influencers to continue the dialogue, drive cultural changes and make them stick. And so getting your Youth Association leadership to register here is important to that process. Please see the Who's Taken It? page for the list of associations and teams that have that have taken Jack's Pledge.
Thanks for understanding and for registering, administering Jack's Pledge in our associations and teams and for joining this important effort to make hockey safe for our youth.
